I'm looking to adding API usage, however I notice in billing it's either add credits manually, or automatically add credits with a warning above a certain limit. I'd like to have a HARD CAP of spend. The warning is also rather useful. So for example I could have a warning of $40, and a hard monthly cap of $50. If I hit that, but I need more, I can manually add in $5 (or larger) increments as needed. Or change the cap.
I also see that the warning/caps are ONLY Kagi selected values. I feel these should be user selected limits. What if I know I'm a huge automated user, so I want to allow $100 warning or hard cap or what not? Why can't I select that?
The purpose of this is I'm contemplating adding this as a Claude Code Skill for additional diversity of research agents, along side Opus and probably Perplexity. Kagi is offering some truly separate search results/features, and diversity of results is important to me since it can reveal/rank things different than other indexes/search systems and provide me valuable results.
