On Firefox (v148) I am regularly getting this issue:
Error: Forbidden
Your client does not have permission to get URL /search from this server.
And a popup saying
You send an invalid Privacy Pass token.
This may be for a few reasons, such as:
You have not used the extension in a while, and we failed to detect this and make you generate more tokens.
You are or were debugging the extension against the staging environment, and have mixed tokens up.
In either case, to keep using Privacy Pass, open the extension settings, and click "Clear state". Then generate new tokens.
You can continuing searching Kagi.com by disabling Privacy Pass mode.
I get this even when Privacy Pass is not enabled. I have clicked all reset buttons etc. It still does not work.
This is extremely annoying.
I cannot even quickly solve the issue by relogging into kagi.com - because something fucks up and I get 403 forbidden again.
There seems to be some kind of issue where the Privacy Pass extension (v1.0.8) keeps trying to authenticate my browser to the website even though it should not - and cannot.
I love Kagi. I love being able to use it in a private manner (paying with crypto + Privacy Pass). This bug is extremely annoying. Privacy Pass is what makes using Kagi viable for me.
There should never be a problem logging into Kagi, even (especially) if the privacy pass extension does not have valid tokens or has encountered another problem.
