Video search missing duration of the video

Steps to reproduce:
just searching any video

Expected behavior:
I would think that all videos will have duration in the thumbnail, but some videos have some that don't

System info:
Windows 11/Firefox (latest/96.0.2)

This is not a bug, but a limitation of our current implementation. We will see if it can be improved.

Ok, thanks for the answer. I didn't know this is not a bug. For me, it's quite important to see the duration of the video as I judge (I know what to expect) video content based on the duration.

No worries - we pull from multiple video indexes, and some don't like to give us durations apparently. Totally reasonable expectation 👍️

I don't know if using something like https://piped.kavin.rocks/ (https://github.com/TeamPiped/Piped) in the background could help with YouTube results on the video page.

I made a bunch of test searches regarding this report. The thumbnails in the Videos search tab consistently display duration information. While the initial report indicated that even YouTube video thumbnails were occasionally missing durations, I was unable to find any video site results without accurate durations on their thumbnails. This includes platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, Streamable, and Twitch, to name a few. Video results sometimes included links to Twitch channels, and those obviously had no duration listed as live streams do not have a known duration.

Based on these results, I'm confident in suggesting that this report can be marked as done. Any rare occurrences where the duration is missing should be reported individually. @Luis
